ok im now very stressed out. the drive on my starter stoped working, i couldnt get it off to fix, so i bought a new one from LMCtruck, it took them a month to get me one, and it is from beck/arnley and does not have a drive,
i need a starter very bad, how do i take my old one apart to look in the drive and bendix.
OR where can i get a starter with a drive, or where can i get a drive, i have the shaft, just nothign that goes on it.
Does anybody have an extra starter that works well for sale,
I also need a shop manual for a 61-63 f-100 does anybody have one for sale?
i am desperate now

i live in cleveland ohio, the shop i mostly use is autozone, i am good friends with the manager, and helps me get what i need, i also have napa and murrays, no othr major stores that i know of
Might run into the same problem at a junkyard, young. Armature might be swollen or siezed, especially if things have gotten wet. But you'll at least have a core that can be sent in to be re-manned. NAPA lists it, part number REL449627. $75.99--seems rather high, but there's a possiblility that they have a cheaper line.
