I got it freed up once...but when i went to put the E4OD back in it...we didnt get the torque converter in right..and had to drop it back out...and i didnt have any time to work on it for a couple months...so it ceased again.
Tried to break it loose again, put marvel mystery oil in each cylinder...and ended up breaking the socket insert of a 1/2 inch breaker bar while trying to free the motor up.
But once I get the truck back on the road...im going to tear the old motor down and rebuild it...it was a damn good motor..had 233,000 miles on it and it was still going strong....but the tranny went out and i was going to replace the manifold with a custom header but i didnt know the header was for a much older model..So it sat with the exhaust cut off near the flanges coming off the manifold and froze up.
How did it freeze up simply having the exhaust off? Did water get in it or something? I had a 300 sit for 2 1/2 years without intake or exhaust and it still turned over when I got ready to rebuild it.
Boss94F150, true, I forgot about the emissions stuff. However, to my knowlege, the head design didn't change. Pull all of the accessories off of the '88 & put the '94 accessories on.
