Sub

HOOKED up a amp and sub now when I hit the brakes or turn on the lights or use the power window I can hear a thump in the sub why????

The electricity going through your vehicle is interrupting the frequency of the sub/amp. It would do the same thing in my van when I was talking on the CB and listening to the radio at the same time. I really dont know what a good solution would be?

You need to run your sub signal wires on the opposite side of the truck from all your power wires, to your amp and everything else. That keeps interference from getting in the lines.

u have interference, this could be from the ground. Its prolly from your amp leads tho. Did you run your preams near any major power wires? this is why you need to follow this when installing amps:
