What is a really good way to clean up my sparkplugs? they are only about 2 months old and with my old holley carb i was running rich so it would foul them out. i have cleaned the up with a wire brush about 3 times but it still doesn't seem like they are sparking like they did 2 months ago. or what is a good name brand spark plug? i know that it has to be the plugs because after i cleaned them the truck ran sooo good but i still could never get the air and fule mixture right on my holley. i finally went to edelbrock and i havn;t had a problem with the plugs fouling out but i am afraid since they have fouled out once that they will never be as good.
Another question, is it possible to adjust a carb by using a vaccumm gauge? what is a really good way to adjust the air and fuel mixture on my eldbrock?
Why bother cleaning them, you already have them out, just go get some new ones! Put in a new set, and see how long they last. If they foul pretty quickly, but your sure the mixture is right, get a hotter heat range in that plug. Going to splitfires isnt going hotter though. Want one with a longer insulator to keep the tip hotter and burn off the crude. Might go to a hotter ignition system too.
