Getting ready for a

Ok, make it short ... My 77 F-150 4x4 LB (351M/C6/205/Edelbrock/Holley/Crane/etc... and 98,000 miles) was last repainted in 1989, and now she needs a makeover. I have collected new bed sides and two complete new doors, and I found a new OEM FORD tailgate, I've got new latches, rubber, fender edge moldings, plastic liners for fenders (like came up front, but for the rear too), and misc. chrome. I just got new rear inner fender arches (go between beds wheel openings and inner bed sides). Years ago, I redid inside the bed with 11 ga. steel across bottom, and complete front and I re-inforced the rear to either side of the tailgate (solid ain't describing it).

I am planning to simply remove the old bed sides and inner arches (whats left) up to the top inner lip and trim down the front just inside the fold. I want to attach the new bed sides and arches with ... stainless steel 3/16" pop rivets and washers where needed. No welding. I plan on painting them good inside beforehand. What are some of y'all's thoughts on this plan?

I also am gonna remove the racetrack chrome from the original front fenders and cab corners, and do the truck in a solid white (refrigerater white, or Toyaota Super White).

I do need 77 style, round headlight "buckets" to replace some rusted ones ... any ideas?

Thanks ......
