Ive been having problems latley with it starting when it is cold when you turn the key it will fire right up and then die then you can crank all day long and it wont start
so far i have replaced the:
cap and rotor
tps
idel air control valve
fuel pressure regulator
with no result but last night i discovered that if i pull the power to the fuel pump it will start right up then plug the power back in and it will stay running
once you get it started it runs like a champ but i think that it is fluding itself out on start up
It sounds like you may have a bad injector. I'm not sure on the trucks but on the fox mustangs if you hold the throttle wide open, while cranking, the injectors will not open. This should give you the same effect as unplugging the fuel pump and allow you to start the truck a little easier. If it is in fact a faulty injector this may not help as the injector is most likely stuck open.
