Need help with fuel problem

MY 87 F250 3/4 4x4 302/5.0efi ran then i parked it then a day later it stopped running i checked spark there is spark it has a msd plug wire and cap i checked fuel i dont have a fuel presure gauge but i just replaced the on the rail fuel pump and filter the rail has fuel in it when i press the tire release looking thing on the rail it shoots out gas idk why it will not start, when i got it to start one time i sprayed starting fluid into the air intake hose and it started right up ran smooth no hiccups or studdering...so it wont start but if it can get started it runs fine.
when i turn the key it turns fast but wont catch and try to fire it just spins and spins.

i have no idea what to do i just got this truck from my dad and i drove it for like 5 months and now it has done this but i dont have anyone to help me can someone please tell me what to try next or what might be going on thank you

you are going to need a fuel pressure gauge to see how much fuel pressure you really have . spec is 35-45 psi, engine off.

When you turn the key on, do the fuel pumps keep running?

You should also try pulling the codes.

Do a google search for "Ford OBD1 Codes", and you'll find many many guides to pull the codes. You only need a paper clip to do it. If you don't want to do that, the Innova 3145 code reader can pull the codes and it costs $25.

I am not a fan of this write-up but it does work: Ford ? OBD/OBD2 Trouble Codes

The Diagnostic Data Link should be located near the driver side hood hinge.

Or as Ian suggested invest in an Innova 3145 Code Reader.

Alright, so did you hook a fuel pressure gauge up or check for codes yet?

I suggest you go and purchase an Innova 3145 Code reader if you don't feel confident in checking the codes yourself. They cost about $25.

10 is just a spacer code. Any auto parts store will rent you a pressure gauge.
