does anyone else have the flat tire noise when turning their 350 King Ranch dually? It really sounds like two flat steering tires when making turns.
Thanks
I experienced the same problem last week, twice. Afterwards, I put it in 4 wheel drive and took it right back out and it seemed to quit. I have an '05 Lariat dually. Anyone else have any input?
If it's a four wheel drive one or both of the hubs is "locked" up. My driver's side is doing it right now. I have taken them off and cleaned them but the driver's side is still doing it so my manual hubs (Milemarkers) should be here today.

How many miles? It's a little early for an '05 to have "the problem". Take it into the dealer and get the hub changed. New auto hubs from the dealer are about $300/side BTW (for those of us not under warranty)
Not that this has anything to do with the poster's problem, but be careful about the "hubs are locked" thing. Even without the hubs locked, if the inner spindle bearing (the needle bearing that the axle rides in) is bad, the axle will turn with the bearing, and you'll have the "floppy axle" noise.
The best way to check things is reach around back of the wheel and try to turn the axle stub by hand. If it moves freely, you're good. If it ratchets or otherwise hangs up and the hub is unlocked, take off the hub and check the axle again, if it's still hanging up, it's the inner needle bearing.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming:
Same thing as above, even if the hubs are unlocked, reach around back of the wheel and try to turn the axle stub by hand. It should turn freely, with minimal drag and not ratchet or "grab".
If the axles both turn well, there's something else going on. Check the axles, and report back what you find.
Are you sure its coming from the front of the truck?
Could it be from the rear ?(ls unit grabing) on turns. On dually trucks this gets more prononced because of more tire drag in the rear.
I have an 06 F350 King Ranch SRW and when I lock the wheel all the way in either direction I will get a clunky sound sometimes. This is when I am in 4X2. I was told never to lock the wheel all the way when in 4X4 as it will wear out the parts.

you need to crawl under your truck and make sure your axles are free by turning them by hand as Krewat and Mr big have stated above.
We have seen brand new trucks have problems with hubs right from the factory.
