gotta pull the dash and the carpet out to make a 4" fit. cut the fire wall shape a new piece of sheetmetal to go back in weld it in and putter all back togethor, its a good chance to dynamat the firewall and floor too....then ceramic blanket the outside where the pipe is going in. i made mine big enough to get a 5" in with ease.....im seeing twins in the future.....
you can push back pretty far, you know where your floor board is running at a 45ish degree angle then goes 90 real close to the tranny hump thats where it is, theres heater parts up there i cut and reshaped a pretty big amount of sheetmetal and didnt have to bother the interior componets at all.
Its not pretty but using the porta power I got my three and a half inch in there. I split the sheet metal in one spot, is there a sealant that can take the heat? Also, my auto dipstick will not fit, would you suggest heating it and bending the heck out of it? Glenn
