Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had tried to put a bassani bx-540414 aft-cat system on a 2005 f-150 with a 4.6. I talked to some one at bassani but they didn't know if it would work or not.

 

Welcome to FTE. Well if you want to save some money, why not just purchase the muffler from that kit, and have a local exhaust shop bend up some tubing for you. You will get the Bassani performance and sound, and a smaller cost, and the kit should be custom bent to work for you.

 

I live in a small town where no one does mandrel bending, I really want the bassani system, I am surprised that Bassani does not know if this system fits on a 4.6, you would think that they would try it so they could sell it for both the 5.4 and the 4.6 like the Banks monster system. I phoned a company in Vancouver, and they said they would phone around to the ford dealerships to see if anyone had tried to put this system on a 4.6. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and hope someone can help me out.
