Air Intake System

I got an 04 with the 5.4 and I want to upgrade with an air intake system. But I have heard of a noise once installing the K&N air intake system. Is there a system that does not make the noise? Or would it be best if I would to replace the intake tubing with some sort of straight pipe and keep the original air filter and box.

You'd be better off going with the airaid intake because it's much more durable than the K and N. I've had both and installed both and the airaid is much stronger than the K and N doing to the stainless steel support

yea i know 3 trucks with the airraid it seems like a sound system. i really thinking about installing it myself i just brang myself to let go of the money know what i mean.
