Did I get scammed?
This is my First post, I'm in upstate NY,I have a 1995 E-150 high top conversion van. 302ci. last week it wouldn't start. Had it towed to a local garage telling the mechanic that I thought the fuel pump wasn't working. Following events happened. 1) they got it started and it back fired and blew/shattered the air filter cover right off, had to replace that, 2) then they told me the ECM (computer went bad) replaced that. 3) Engine still came on reading that the mass airflow sensor was bad, replaced that. 4) was told the fuel pump shorted out the new ECM but it was warrantied, 5) Had to replace the fuel pump, 6) now being told there's a skip in the timing. supposedly bad plugs and wires which wasn't a problem when it was brought in. Did I get shafted? Any help is much appreciated.
