I have a 1976 Ford Supercab, with a 460 engine, 4 barrell carb. I am not to familiar with fords, but I need to get this truck going. My problem is finding the right fuel pump. The original Fuel Pump has a couple of numbers listed on it. They are 6618h19a and carter0-2537. It is a mechanical fuel pump with the twist off canistor and filter on the bottom of fuel pump. And it has a bent arm. Bent down as it comes out of the pump then has a slight bend to the side then another bend toward the top at the end of the pump. The new replacement models have no bend in the arm, just mainly straight. I think that I am having problems because the arm on the newer replacement models are not bent, I believe this is why I am not getting fuel to the carberator. I can post a picture if someone wants to take a look. Anyhow, I am hoping to find a replacement, been looking, but I can't seem to get one like this fuel pump. Info appreciated. Thanks!
thanks. I posted several of my messages in a couple of your forums. Hopefully I can get the problem solved, or I may have to go over to an electric pump, if I do that, i'll have to get the correct PSI, if anyone knows what the correct PSI is, let me know. Thanks!
