Does anyone know if there is a dash installation kit for a 78 ford truck. I am putting a cd player in my truck. the local audio people say i will have to make my own.

 

metra used to make a kit-- but i think it has been discontiued
they sell a universal trim ring that will work
you must trace out the hole to be cut with the mounting cage\radio
you plan to install--cut the hole out as exact as possible
put the flat trim ring against the dash and install the radio
the radio\mounting cage will hold the trim ring in place

i made my own out of some steel plates i fabbed up, i have never seen one
