balance
This question of balnce and smoothness is so interesting. For the life of me and after trying to read text books on the subject, I can't understand why a straight 4 cyliner in-line engine is not balanceable. The good fours all have balance shafts to try to help. So do v-6s. my acurav6 has 2 balance shavts to help.
If the two inner cylinders are going down and the two outside pistons are going up, why arent they balanced?? I simply do not understand balance, I guess that is why engineers engineer and I am unemployed.
