Forgive me for being paranoid, but if that guy was really as creepy as he seemed, he may have made a mental note of her car, the route, and time of day. Hopefully the exit she took wasn't part of a daily routine.

I only mention it because I know that if I were a creepy psycho, I might just be determined enough to lay in wait in the general area and try to pick up the trail at a later date.

Perhaps I should be worried about myself that I think like this!

Cybertaz126, tell your g/f to be a little more aware of her surroundings.

Sometimes that sixth sense comes in handy.

There's a new law passed in Florida that went into effect this October. The "Meet force with force" law.
What is states is that anyone who is threatened or family is threatened at a place they have a right to be, can use a gun in defense.
What that law does to carry permit law I'm not sure.

http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/castledoctrinebill.pdf#search='meet%20force%20with %20force%20law' this link is in pdf and requires Acrobat to view. It's the statute itself.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/LegalCenter...C-RSSFeeds0312 this is a link to a report by abc news on the matter and is quite laughable.

Cool

[QUOTE=Cybertaz126]

Hey Everyone..long time no post,

So today my girlfriend calls me and tells me she had a little excitment today. On her way home from school (she has a very long drive) she was on the highway and she came up on a slow GMC truck (figures). As she was passing it she noticed it kept speeding up not lettin her pass. She looked over and it was this older guy noddin' and winkin' at her. So she tried to slow down and he slowed down. This lasted for like 5 min. Somehow she was able to get behind him and when she did he slowed way down below the speed limit tryin to get her to pass again, but she still stayed behind him because she didn't want to deal with that again.
So as she was takin' her exit home (with him still going really slow in front of her) he noticed she was exiting and slamed on brakes trying to get off on her exit too. Thankfully he didn't and she got away from that creep.

Sooooo.....i kinda got mad at her and told her a million things she should have done. So i was just wondering what are some other things i can tell her to do if this happens again? Have any ladies out there had this problem too?
Is it possible she could've got his plate number and called the law?

I know down here in the great cornfields of Iowa, you can call the State Troopers if you are on Interstate or a Highway, otherwise the local and county cops will deal with it. I just happened to ask a couple of the State Troopers I know and they told me that you can call them in and have then cited for wreckless driving and harassment. I don't know if that helps you any, but it may. I had some jerk doing this to me cuz he thought his civic was all hot stuff and my CSVT was nothin. But I just cut off on a back road and blew his doors off, but it happens to my sister a lot now w/her Impala, and we just told her to stay in highly visible areas, never roll the window down, dont look at the person, and DEFINITELY, if she has to stop somewhere, highly populated and very well lit and DO NOT get out of the car, stop and call someone on the phone to come help. Just tryin to help with my 2 cents.

THis same thing happened to my wife a wile back, but I was able to take the situation into my own hands. We had been told earlier by the police that they gould not provide protection at a community hearing. The hearing was called because of a child molester.

When my wife called me on her cell, I told her to slow down and give me a little time. I knew where she was and were she was going. I immediately called the police, and got the brush off. I then told them that I hoped the called had been recoreded and that I was going to defend my wife with what ever force I deemed necessary. I then hopped into the old F-150 4X4 and took off. I then called her back and headed in her direction. She was now in a panic as the guy was now tailgating her so close that she could not see his lights. I got her calmed down and told her to stay in the right lane (five lane highway with no meduim) and turn her left turn signal on so I could see her. She then told me that he had hit her car three times. That was enough. When I spotted her, I changed lanes into the center, and then proceeded to make a left turn right into the idiots doors, I drove him into the ditch and stopped.

Wouldn't you know it, the cops were right behind me and saw it all take place. Even though I got arrested for what I did, I later found out that the man was a wanted criminal. He had an arrest record that covered several states, murder and rape included.

The court trial for me was a circus. The jury dismissed the case stating duress. The funny thing was that the idiot sued me from jail for his injuries. It is still pending. I am waiting for his release. I guess the next time, I will have to finish the job that the State of South Carolina did not for the murder charge.

"CLOVERLEAF ESCAPE"

Follow until it is highly unlikely the persuer can take the ramp - even if it means cutting back to it over the dirt AFTER the bridge. The persuer is now in a huge disadvantage.

Get down the off ramp, and take the onramp on the other side - you have now reversed direction.

This is a half hitch escape... It depends on getting across the bridge before executing it. Taking the earlier route before the bridge leaves you going away from it, and is a disadvantage.

(I learned these tricks as a young hotrodder)

You have two options:

1) If the persuer tries to get down to the road you are on, you can run two ramps and be going back in the direction you were going.

2) Having reversed - you can run back down your own path and find help.

Your girl has been STALKED. Don't doubt it - its real. And they are still out there.

Talk to her, and make certain she knows it is NO DREAM. Its a fact.

Teach her evasive tactics, and make sure she has a means of contact - such as a cell phone and a pre-programmed help number.

The determining factor is how close help is! RUN TO IT

I want you to understand this: NO MATTER HOW YOUNG OR OLD -
THE CONTACT IS HOSTILE.

If they have not been apprehended by the LAW, they are still out there.

You also need to ensure that what you have told us has been reported to both state and local officers.

DO NOT screw around with "MAYBE", even a little bit.
Lives and rape victims have been determined by less than this...

The other way you can go - is to FIND THAT TRUCK AND DRIVER.

I would...

In FORCE.

Nobody threatens my own.

Gather INTEL my friend. Find out who it is.

Don't do anything illegal. It would work against you.

But FIND that one, and confront them peaceably.

KICK THEIR BUTT if no other means is possible...

You might find that no hassle was ever intended.

You might also discover a bastaard - and one to be well aware of....

Cover yourself.

(I'm sure any veterans out there know what I mean by that)

(?) DO you have a "Covering Force"?
