Stupid Dude...need advice?
It couldn't pass a GM truck.
(kidding)As for the other people posting that they would track him down or kick his butt, or whatever, that's adding fuel to the fire.
You're just making a situation worse.
If (and that's a big if) it happens again, then file a report with the police stating that this is not the first time either.
They may issue an APB.
I know crazy drivers. Look at the area in which I live in.
I doubt this guy is going to be convinced to stop looking and flirting even by the police pulling him over. It would be a full time job in some areas if the police pulled every car over that has a looking and flirting driver in some areas. Just face it, some people act strange and are annoying.
Being prepared to thwart the efforts of an attacker or unruly individual is in everyone's best interest. I did see a program years ago that had shown cars with self defense devices installed. One of my favorites was the flame throwers near the bottom of each door. I want some of those just for fun! Although I had thought that spring loaded bars below each door of my truck would definately thwart a carjacker after it broke both of their legs. Can't drive, run or even crawl then. I know, that's cruel isn't it.
It's not legal in the U.S.
It was on the same par as with this local guy's invention of turning a pager into a 4 barrel, single shot 22 caliper self defense gadget.
The police said NO WAY.
I would have slowed down enough for a cop to notice what was going on, then have him handle the situation. theres no reason to speed up and endanger evryone else on the road. speed limits are there for a reason. they dont just pick a number out of a hat and post it on a sign.. at least i dont THINK thats what they do.
Unfortunately, one can't always carry a gun everywhere. Pepper spray is a nonlethal alternative, but some localities have even made it illegal to possess pepper spray.
Your lady was as cautious as she could be. Be glad she's OK and discuss some good common sense rules for her to follow in the future. Too bad civility and courtesy are not as commonplace as they used to be.
I guess it's the price we pay for a "progressive" society.
..... Her dad's been brain washing her since she was little.....There's been a many ford vs. chevy conversations we've had, slowly but surely i think there might be light at the end of the tunnel. But if thats her only downfall i think i'm doin alright.Just got to get her and her dad out of the darkside.

Just ignore it, but if it happens again, tell her to call the police on the spot.

One day I was talking to a county Sheriff that I used to see quite often when I worked in retail. I was asking him about the proper way to carry a handgun in my car and other things that deal with the safety of them. He responded with "you really don't need to carry one for self defense because that is what the police are here for." I told him that the police don't ride around in thier car protecting me everywhere I go. I added that when I am out in certain areas that aren't around lots of houses or any other people then I would be on my own for self defense at that time. He pretty much just told me to do whatever I thought I needed to do and that I would be a statistic someday when someone else shot me with my own gun. Ayway he really didn't help any at all and was quite rude about it all, so I just stopped trying to find out what any police have to say about it in order to be legal.
To this day I still don't even own a gun, but not because I don't feel the need to have one at times. When you know that the police in a major city find shot dead people laying at the roadside where you drive to work and back even at late hours it gets your attention. Where were the police when that person needed police protection?
By the way, some of the people they find shot dead were the victims of carjackings. Shooting the driver is becoming a more common carjacking technique. So, I say if the criminals are going to be this rutless then you don't want to be the guy who shows up at a gunfight with a stick. Take a gun to a gunfight because the police sure do.
Personally I don't think there should be any carry licenses necessary to have access to a right guaranteed under the Constitution. Concealed or open carry should be at one's own discretion IMO. Only in airports, government offices, courts, etc, should there be any sorts of restrictions since these places would make easy targets for would be terrorists disguising themselves as law obiding citizens who happen to carry for self defense. But on the street there is no stop check of any sort, criminals carry anyway so posing as a law obiding citizen offers no benefit...duh.
So many people are retarded when it comes to this idea. Imagine having a good fun conversation with someone and then finding out they have a gun - people tend to crap themselves - like something has changed suddenly. It dosent cross their mind that the guy with the gun is the same guy he was a moment ago, and that if he'd had any ill intentions toward you, you'd have known about the gun alot sooner. If it's a criminal looking to set you up, you'll still be having that great conversation, most likely the gun will be better concealed, and license or not - he's going to have one....duh again.
If it passes, you'll be required to hand in your weapons to the police.
Yea, right. Like I'm going to hand in my gun(s).
"Guns? I dunt have no stinkin guns."
