Hi laynrubber, good to hear from you. How did you make out getting your parts truck? Summer is a busy time for everyone, winter is usually better for spending time on FTE.
Oh right i guess i should post the pictures of my "prize"
I was out there Sept 11th. The weather was great dad and i even went for swim that one day.
When i got there Saturday at 2 the morning mom said dad had the truck already tore appart. All we had to do Sunday morning was to load the cab onto the trailer and then i had a nice relaxing 3 days at home with the folks.
I came back with a cab (not great shape) 2 doors, a bellhousing and 4 speed gear box, starter, steering wheel and a grill (1958) Cost about $400 for gas (it was then a $1.19).
The boy's chev S10 ran great except from Winnipeg to Yorkton all i could pull was 4th gear due to the head wind, after that the wind died down and i could use 5th again.
14 hours there 14 hours back.
I will post pictures of the cab in my gallery tomorrow
