Need Receiver Hitch Recommendation
Greetings,
2003 E-350 XLT (not extended), with 225/75R16 wheels. I want to put a class III receiver on the back of it. The local store listed a Curt model 13039 but when I tried holding it up in place the full-sized spare interferes with the hitch. I don't think this is going to fit.
Has anyone bought an aftermarket hitch that will fit this van?

My son and I went ahead and tried fitting the Curt. We dropped down the spare enough to get it out of the way. The hitch then fit OK. Same as you, it moved the spare forward a little but not into anything of concern.
