Trailer Hitch Receiver
I purchased in 05 Expedition with the class IV trailer hitch. The receiver seems to be a little larger than standard. The slider bar is a little sloppy in the receiver. I also have one of those rubber hitch receiver covers. It fits snug in all other receivers but if loose and will fall out of the one on my new expedition.
Question: Should I worry about the receiver being a little larger than standard. It is probably 1/8"-1/4" large than it should be.

Class lV should be 2" x 2" opening, are you sure its a class lV ? You may have a class V which has a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"opening. If you are not happy with the fit I will drive it through one Buffalo, N.Y. winter for you and that reciever will be rusted in there solid for you LOL.
