Yes, those are the mirros from 03 and on. Power fold and everything...
Looks great, glad to see you did not go with any stupid lookin 20-22 or whatever big *** wheels some are doing..16/17's look just right on our expys expecially if they are 4X4. Who wants a 22 on a 4X4??? functionality.....
Thanks guys. I actually drive my vehicle in snow and some offroad. 17 is about as big as I would go. I'm not a fan of large wheels.
Even these wheels are too "bling" for me, but it was difficult to find reasonably-priced 5x135mm, hubcentric wheels with the right offset and diameter. I chose chrome for easy care.
I've also smoked the tail lenses just a bit (as you might be able to see in the picture) and blacked out all of the letters. It also has a flowmaster exhaust, MP3 CD changer, and remote starter/2-way alarm.
It is not my daily driver (for snow and other activites only) so I haven't done much else to it.
Oh yea, it also has an 1.25" rear anti-sway bar from IPD, along with poly bushings--makes a big difference. The rear shocks are Procomp 5-way adjustable. I love these shocks. I tried the Ranchos but didn't like them. The Procomp shocks do an excellent job controlling the rear end. I wish they made an air version for the front.
The rear anti-sway bar came from http://www.ipdusa.com . They are Volvo specialists but made the bars for our vehicles. I found them on eBay and called them. As it turns out, they were clearing out the bars and I paid ~$150 with shipping. I don't think they make them anymore. You might want to call and find out if they still have old stock.
I always felt that that the rear suspension was weak and poorly controlled. The new bar and shocks made an amazing difference.
I'm going off memory so the figures might be wrong. I seem to recall that the OE bar is ~.75" and the Hellwig bar is 1". The IPD bar is 1.25" and it was less expensive, so I jumped at it. It's one of the best upgrades to the handling of the Navigator.
Nice truck! Looks like a black version of my truck. (In my gallery).
I have the Pro-Comp 17" 1089 Series wheels with Pro-Comp 33x12.50's, only slightly larger than your tires. I think it makes the truck look like, well, a truck...
I thought about upgrading to the Pro-Comp dampers, after heaing your happiness with them, I think I will do it.
Anxiously awaiting the release of the RIZE Industies 8" suspension lift for the new generation Expy's.
