Superchips Tuner Question

I own a 2005 F-150 with the 4.6L V-8. Relative to the Superchips tuners there is a different part number for each of the F-150 model years. For the 2003 E/F 150 the p/n is 1715; for the 2004 the p/n is 1714; and for 2005 the p/n is 1745. Besides being different part numbers for the different years I'm wondering if the tuners are actually different? I'm thinking they are probably the same but for sales purposes the company uses different part numbers for each year, just like Hypertech does. Any comments?

They are different. As Ford changes or updates the PCM codes, superchips does the same. For sure the 2003 and the 2004 are VERY different due to the 2 valve 2003 compared tot he 3 valve 2004. Some model years dont change. I have a 1715 for my 03' V10. That tuner covers 1999 through 2003 trucks. In 2004 you need 1714. The 05' tuner is not out yet.
