Running board hardware P/N

My '95 extended cab F-150 is in fantastic shape except for the drivers side running board that is sitting in the bed. It is the factory board and the mounting hardware has rusted away. The Ford dealer said these parts not only aren't available, they do not have a P/N in the system.

So does anybody out there have a P/N or the parts I need?

Later!

NO, they are not available separate or at all for that matter. You will have to make them or find used

If you're referring to the factory molded running boards, I went through the same issue with mine. The parts are NOT available, I had to take the original brackets & weld/reinforce them. I used some stainless steel bolts to put 'em back together.

There is no part number for the any of the brackets, the brackets/mounting hardware were only available with the running board kit.

There is a notation in the parts catalog illustration of the boards//brackets stating exactly that.

Thanks for the replies. I suspected that they weren't available but I was hoping to confirm that and Bill did. There is no substitute for experience in these matters.

Thanks again for all of the replies.

Post #3 = No substitute for experience: FTE member thechief66 is also a Ford partsman. He's still at it, I'm retired.

The comment I added to the scenario was: If the partsguy you dealt with had shown you the parts catalog pic of the whole tamale, it sez right there the brackets and etc are only available with the running board kit.

Found it! My search on the internet turned up a place that has all of the parts for the "Step Assembly." But at $435.74 for the left and $409.78 for the right, I am going to fabricate one out of galvanized pipe. And my morning search at the local U-Pull it was fruitless. But since the rest of the truck is in such pristine condition, a step assembly support is the least of my worries.

running board supports
I know it's not the best deal but bronco graveyard.com finally got smart and they now reproduce them but they want 499 a pair and won't sell separately . I've been lucky in the past and found a really nice used set. But recently the first time in the 17 yrs I own my bronco I hit my door and it broke the running board and bent the support. My buddy's body shop fixed the door and pulled the support as good as the can get it. Also found a guy with a 95 Eddie Bauer I. The neighborhood and he was missing the driver's side and the passenger side running board was in good shape so for 100 he gave it up . But I am now looking for a passenger support because the other one wine straighten out just right. Although I am currently using it and the new board is on the truck and painted.
