Hi everybody, I live in Morocco, and I have a problem on the automatic transmission of my Ford 4x4. I bought a 1988 F350 4x4 (No OD) 7.3L Diesel last year. I use it as a drill. The drill is mounted on the back and is powered through the same engine (PTO). I have problem on Automatic transmission. It needs to be changed completely. I don’t know what’s the model. It’s written on it: E7TP-7006-EA<O</O I can buy it from the US and arrange for payment there through a friend of mine who lives in Philadelphia. I also need some other parts (windshield, filters, etc.). Thanks for your help
I'm sure there is no tag.
Do the C6 all look the same?
I have a picture of mine, would it help?
In case you need to see it send me an email to yghaleb@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you. I don't know how to snd you
I am afraid I buy it from the US import it all the way here, and realize then it's not the one.
Thanks DeepRoots,
But first it's difficult to list all the parts needed and make sure they're in the kit.
Second, even the torque converter has to be changed.
PS- You can get those trannies really cheap at salvage yards and they are all usually good. It's a strong little unit. I have a good one sitting in my parts truck that I would sell for $100.
It may sound odd considering you live in Morocco, but if you have been to the US, and you know what the State of Utah looks like, then if you have a C6, the Oil Pan is shaped the same.
Only advice I would give you is if your going to replace the Trans, then replace the Torque Converter. Any metal and or gunk in the Trans, is in the Torque converter as well. So many times I have seem people try to save $150, only to knock out the new one.
Thanks,
I just found here a guy who has a similar tranny (but it's not 4x4).
He'll take the parts from one to put it on the other one.
Anyway, we'll see.
