howling noise
Hi,
I am a new member and will appreciate any response. Actually this is my second post in two says. I also posted regarding mounting a factory third seat in my expedition that does not have mounting brackets. In my 1997 Expedition with a 5.4L I have a "howling noise" that begins @1500rpm and ends at around 2000rpm. It will begin only after the vehicle is warm and will do it when parked or moving. You can hear the noise from inside the vehicle but not from the outside under the hood. I have tried to isolate the noise by operating the heater controls, etc but there in nothing that will make it stop. I tried replacing the IAC? control in the rear of the intake and this did not work. Any help or leads will be great. I am out of ideas. The noise is not horrible buy very anoying. The only thing I have found that makes it go away is turning up the radio.
