I just have a quick question. Does anybody know about how many miles are allowed to be on a truck before the classify it as a demo or anything else. My father is going to buy a truck and he looked at one and the mileage was alittle high. It's a new truck with the window sticker on it so I don't think could sell it as new if it has over a certain miles. Does anybody know what that certain mileage is..
I believe that by law a dealer can sell a vehicle as new if the mileage is below 10K miles, I could be wrong though. My brother bought an Excursion with 9800k on it and was sold as new, even though he got it for 13k off of MSRP.
My guess is a salesman or somebody at the dealership was using it for personal use or it was used as a runner for parts or something, just a guess. If he decides to purchase the truck you can always haggle with the salesman over the miles, they should work with you.
I bought a 88 Mazda MX-6 GT (in 88). It was driven by the owner. It had 6800 miles. The oil had not even been changed yet. I did get a great deal. The warranty started from that point....

Well my father picked the truck up tonight. He read the mileage wrong. It only has 26 miles on it. That truck is brand new in my opinion. Thanks for the info.
