switching from points to electronic ignition

I am taking the cab off of a 76 f250 4x4 because it is shot and am putting on a cab from a 73 f100 2wd. The problem is that the 73 cab is not wired for the electronic ignition box that is on the fender. How do I wire this so that I can use electronic ignition on this cab? Is it hard or is as easy as a power lead and a ground to make it work? Any help would be greatful. Shannon.

Its pretty easy to do, you should be able to use all your wiring from your 76. If you have a blue tab module, which I hope you do, youll notice there are only two wires going into it from the cab, one wire is for run, the other is for start. When you are in the start position on your ignition switch, the module is sending 12 volts to the ditributer, when its in the run (ignition turned on) the module is sending less voltage. You can use just one wire if thats all you have to work with, but you need to make sure its the lower voltage side of the module. I cant remember which wire it is though, but you should be able to figure it out.

you will already have the resistor wire. Just follow the diagram.
