Could this be you???

Didn't see this posted yet but here's a somewhat humorous ebay auction. Is my daddy here on FTE?

i have an idea, maybe the kid should get a student loan and start appling for grants instead of counting on other people to pay for her "dreams"

The mom has an illness that prevents her from being out of the house much, and her kids have the same illness. So, this girl will go to college and not be able to go out to work to put that degree into use. Maybe the "illness" referred to is "upstairs" and if she will keep it from advancing by going to college and getting away from her mother.

wow. That first paragraph sounds like my mom talking about my dad! sounded very familiar!

This has me thinking, I can start some B.S. auction, and make up a big story about a liver transplant for me since im an alcoholic, but I wont mention that, I'll say I have a bad liver. Then, i'll tell them I have a mystery item worth 800 dollars (my truck). Bids will start at 700, and maybe I can make profit!

She needs to tell her daughter to grow up and take a loan like someone else mentioned. The mom might be a dead beat too if she can't pay sfor ome of her daughters college. I dont see how her dads a dead beat if hes rich, he busted his back soing something to get money (or he did it the old fashioned style and inherited it). Him being selfish and not paying for his daughters college is her problem. Still not the "right thing", but hey life isn't fair.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is a big B.S. scandle, infact, that person probobly doesnt have kids. I also see another problem. When most women divorce men, they seem to get "belongings", cars, money, furniture etc. Hell, a friend of mines dad is a retired colonel in the air force, his wife divorced him, and got half his retirement $$$. I dont see how she divorced him and didnt get any money out of the deal.

There seems to be another hidden problem here. "Daughter" is 20 YO and has the same health condition that mommy has, a condition that supposedly causes mommy to be unable to work outside of the home. In fact, in the Q & A's, there is a response to a question that reads "A: UPDATE!!Now her deadbeat dad has dropped her health insurance and her medicines run over $1200.00 per month! She was in the disability program through High School. " This makes it appear that she is a candidate (and probably a current recipient) for getting a free handout from the taxpayers of this country in the form of SSID (maybe $475 monthly) as well as Medicade (free healthcare insurance while the rest of us here in the real world, planet earth, have to pay for ours). Remember she's over 18 and considered an adult. If daughter got a job to pay for college (and she should), she starts loosing her free handout from the taxpayers (SSID). How awful (not), isn't life so mean (not) . Sounds like daughter just might not want that to happen. Sounds like mommy is probably also on the dole and making $ by selling on ebay. Add me to the list of people that suspect the story is probably a bunch of bull.

I only skimmed the rant by the mom, so maybe I misread it, but didn't she say that her kids suffer the same illnesses that she did, and then go on to say that her daughter is working three jobs??? Well, which is it? and besides, if she is such a power seller, wouldn't she have some sort of established clientele? Wy does she feel the need to sell all of her stuff in one batch, instead of individually? Starting to sound fishy to me. Also, the daughter should be able to take the dad to court for tuition. If he's that well off, he shouldn't be too hard to find.

man I'm with you guys. This ones a little fishy. I mean other than the mysterious illness that woun't let wnyone out fo the house, and the three jobs the girl's working, and the lack of student loan consideration; what is up with the mystery auction. Why not just auction off all the stuff and give the procedes to the daughter. I'm a bit suspicious of anyone selling stuff that I can't have a look at.

Okay, that was 5 minutes of my life I won't get back, reading that auction description. Crud.

.
.
.
Ya, I gotta wonder about that "sickness" too? Is it 'upstairs' or some real physical ailment that they have no control over. I know, call me cynical. Also, this lady says she can't work out of the house so she sells on ebay for a living? so wouldn't she be making a lot of $$$ if she is not paying any taxes on the ebay purchases? Do powersellers even have to report $$$ winnings to the government?
.
.
.
OKAY, let's start taking bets on how legit this auction will be when it ends. I Bet that the winner will receive a real container of jewelry, BUT that it's for a handful of imported, cheap jewelry, like what you see in the kiosks in the middle of the floor in malls all over America.
