Dennis carpenter offers a grille for 1970-72 trucks but nothing for 67-69, my question is will they fit my 69 ford? It looks shorter, the 67-69 grilles have places for reflectors under the headlight doors but the 70-72 don't, the grille stops just beneath where the headlight doors will. That's what it looks like to me anyway. Anybody know for sure???
you can put a 70-72 grill on your truck it will fit...but you have to change the whole grill including headlight covers and park lamps....you can't interchange parts of the grill.....I have a 68 grill on my 71.... if you go that route you will need to drill 4 holes for the park lamps where they mount onto the lower valance panel....
Go to this site and you probably can find your grille for a little bit cheaper.http www. car-part.com/index.htm I have a 70 grille that is in very good condition. Headlight pieces and grille frame. Minor problems and it is painted. Sixty bucks plus shipping and you can have it. The site I referenced is very helpful in searching for parts.
For a 70+ grill, you need the valance piece, that's what the turn signals mount to. Other than that, it -should- bolt up ok. A painted 68 grill should be cheaper, since they were tougher than the bright aluminum ones.
