Whats the thought
I've searched this.
Is the t-case in my truck, '72 F-250, a D24 or the NP205?
It's divorced (first time I've ever seen this).
I'm pretty sure its an NP435.
I'm just after the engine mainly but want to know if the rest of the stuff is worth anything.
Also, is the D60 in these trucks stout enough for moderate trail use (Thinking about stuffing it under my 84' Bronco)
Thanks,

That D60 will take whatever you can give it and then some.

The case in my '70 F250 is a Dana 24. I was told by somebody on here that it is as tough as anything...

IIRC, the Dana 24 t-case had a single shift rail going into it, but the NP205 has two rails.

It is also gear drive like the 205 and have been told it is just as strong. Just my 2 cents.

I can't see why you couldn't but I don't know for sure( not something I have looked into much). But I do know the 205 is alot easier to get parts for the 24 is basically obsolete and a PITA to find parts for and when you do it comes out cheaper to just drop in the Divorced 205 in it's place.
