stalling engine

I just replaced the starter on my 1993 F-150. Now, when I turn on the headlights, the engine stalls. It is also idling a lot lower than normal. Could this be a wiring problem?

Sounds like a grounding problem. Look over at the negative battery cable. Connected with, or coming off the negative cable somewhere is usually a small ground wire that the computer system uses. Guys have had this wire corrode, and the computer system loses it's ground. You may have jostled this wire around a little bit, and broke it off where it was barely connected.

Also make sure you have some small ground straps from the engine to the sheetmetal on the firewall.
