alternator gurus....quick question.....
Because of the way my electric cooling fans are set up...(71 F100)....I want to create a circuit that will end up putting batt voltage on the stator terminal when the engine is not running.....this will only occur if the fans are manually turned on and will not happen very often....in fact it will only happen in emergency situations or if for some reason I feel the need to turn the fans on while working on the truck.....would this be harmful to the alt in any way...?

quick hook up
Zsir , why not put a quick disconnect on your fan wiring and use a jumper straight off the battery. Other words, a male and female plug, uhook your fans , and have a jumper off your battery with the same hook up, opposite whatu unhooked from your fans. I can make u any schematic u like but this i feel would be your best safest way, when working on ya ride TR ps,a switch can also be made into your jumper
