yeah and now the president is talking about shifting DST to conserve energy (mentioned above) something like we'll go to bed while it's still light out so we don't have ot use lights or something I dunno. y'know if we got with the farmers and got up with the sun and went to bed with the sun I think we'd all be allot better off. I enjoy being in a morning routine, early to bed early to rise, your days feel longer, you're better rested. it's proven that the hours of sleep you get before midnight are more productive than the hours of sleep you get after midnight. not to mention you get to enjoy the morning, they really are beautiful. I love having to use my sun visor in my truck when I'm driving East!

Best part of daylight savings is this time, I get an extra hour of sleep.
Ummmmm..........you're coming OFF DST..

Anyway, this is absolutely the most depressing time of the year for me.....I hate it getting dark around 5PM.

Can't wait for 2007 when we're on DST for 8(?) months!!!

Our area has implemented the Choice program for schools. Students can apply to go to any school in the county, on a first-come-first-served basis (and there are some other requirements). This has resulted in kids being bussed all over the place, and high schools start their day around 7 AM.

I think you just need to spend a little more on marketing. As it is, it's probably only a catchy acronym for Russians.

I grew up on a farm & we never need DST. You got up before dawn &worked till dark or after. Changing the time never made our work easier.

I already work farmer's hours...working from "can see to can't see" and then some. I drive to work in the dark and start the backhoe, while I'm waiting for it to warm up it gets light enough to see what I'm doing. That changes now, but I really hate losing that hour of daylight on the other end. That's less time to get stuff done at home before dark. I had to work late last night, and the only light I had was from the arc of the welder!

Tim, nice idea but I agree...we ain't gonna get much support with our movement! I guess we'll just have to move to Arizona! Shouldn't be too bad, it's right between us...meet you in the middle?

The Province of Saskatchewan in Canada never changes their time.

The farmer's contended years ago that they need to milk their cows the same time everyday.

I say we all, or some of us, march over to that atomic clock in Colorado and reset it to some arbritrary number like, oh say, 37 minutes difference, just for ha-has.

Or we can just set our own time to what ever we want.

Heck, I think half the sub-contractors I work with must reset their clocks every day- you never know when they'll show up......

What I meant is that I get to sleep an extra hour, since at 2am, the clocks roll back to 1am. Hence an extra hour.
