unfortunately i have other things to do in my life yhan drive by every gas station in the area once or twice a day. i guess i could break the ice and report it whenever possible and hope that a few other people join in. population of malta, 1000? i hope there are alot of psd owners in malta that read this site or the gas price one.
key words there.... large city. what about the rest of us. where i live it's more like nearest large town, and that site doesn't list any. I'm only an hour west of chicago. how about this, if you use your truck for work, raise your prices and be SURE to tell your customers why. If you work for someone else and use your truck as a daily driver tell your boss you want a raise and tell him why. We are not as big of a group as those who use gas so we have to tell everyone else about it. If your truck is just for fun or a hobby you really can't complain without someone telling you to get a smaller vehicle like some people here have. I use my truck. also, watch the oasis's on the tollway. the one in dekalb has been as much as .40 cents cheaper, usually .10 to .12 but i've seen .40.
Here is a little better site for those of us that live in more obscure places. Chains that are involved in this keep the pricing pretty current.
yep, that one is better, but all of the diesel prices were 2-3 days old. my point is to spread the word or burden so that the rest of the community feels the effects. The gas users only complain when it hurts their wallets. as far as easily finding the chaepest station goes, it's simple, i go to the oasis on the tollway.
Fuel prices, industry prices, farming prices, shipping prices ect ect. One president used the term, "RIPPLE EFFECT ECONOMY". How many in this forum are of farming, or other industries that have been hit hard economically because of fuel prices? If you haven't, you soon will be if some kind of control isn't instigated. Recession is on the horizon and the leaders and companies know it. Could be a good reason why the oil companies are getting all they can now while the getting is good. I agree with you all and yes conservation is a good thing, we all could tighten up a bit on our use of fuel. I too think that our best and most meaningful tool is to let ourselves be heard. Once the price of fuel finds its mean, the rest of the economy will follow. I truely don't believe the country would servive even a 25% increase of the cost of living. Something must happen to curve the prices. I have personally seen the food lines in Russia and know why an orange is considered a delicacy. You limit supply you can govern reaction.
you can all trust me when i tell you we are in the time of plenty... the time of famine is around the corner... when i say our leaders have failed to sow the seeds of long term prosperity... i speak of leaders past... spend this time wisely... pay off your truck if you owe any money on it... it may help you to earn a living in years to come... and pay off as many debts as you can... no one can take away that which you own... just don't forget... we are all Americans... this is still a GREAT country... and we will survive and prosper again though it may take a decade to return to the good times we have had... thanks again to all the people in this wonderful site... it has become an entertainment for me to read and learn from all that you say... call it an escape if you will... i do enjoy reading and posting to this site..!
