This is all I could find - alrming but notice the date is from 2001. If you are saying you've heard something new about Cooper Tires and a design flaw please post a link - that is obviously a concern to me.

Just for info sake. A lot of the MT tires in 35 - 37 range are backordered because they are being used over here in Afghanistan and Iraq. Especailly here in Afghanistan, the rocks and mountain eat the GY MT's and RT's. They are good for road use, but the jagged rocks is killing them.
Alot of the trucks are running Super Swampers, BFG's, MTR's, etc. The sidewall on the GY MT's just can't handle the abuse of the terrain here.

I have been considering Toyo myself but, my wife's Lexus has Toyo and they are just about shot at less than 15,000 miles.
I know it's a different design spec and for performance but, holey moley...they should last longer than that.
Anybody have any mileage experience with Toyo for our big dog trucks?

I am currently running 38x15.5x20 Open Country MTs. I LOVE them, they are wearing very nice, they are quiet, and they have great traction as well. They were way expensive but worth it if you can find them, i have also heard that they are on a national backorder indefinatly, noone has been able to tell me when they are going to be a availiable.
