factory sub help

i have a 02 eb expy with the mach audio system. i noticed that the sub is not working. i checked the speaker and it's not blown and i tried another factory amp that i have layin around and i'm not getting any response. is there a fuse or something easy that i may have looked over before i replace it?

is there any illumination on the factory amp? also, you could take a multi meter and turn everything on and test the inputs to the amp (the 12v pos and the .5v amp turn on lead

The sub is too crappy to even worry about man. Go buy yourself a Jl w3 8" and replace it. Sound is 3x better.

but if the amp doesnt turn on a new sub will do no good

Check all the fuses. I'm not sure where they'd be but the amp probably gets power from the bettery fairly directly and will have an inline fuse. And you need to check the ground and all wire connections in/out of the amp.
