Mustang Block ok for Explorer?

Mustang Block ok for Explorer?
I have a friend that has many 302 blocks from mustangs that I can use to rebuild and then swap with my explorer 5.0 but does anyone know if they older 302 blocks are EXACTLY the same as my 96 explorers as in bracket holes, sensor holes etc etc?

Should be the same. Depending on heads, etc - you could run into differences there, but that will happen depending on what heads you use anyway. Block for block - you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Get one of them and stroke it...

Easy setup if you have access to the block: have it bored to a 306 and have the GT40 heads match ported and polished with the intake. Would not cost all that much if you had a pretty good machine shop around.
