have 93 7.3 starter dragging.I have heard about swapping a bosch starter from a dodge cummins .Which spins engine over twice as fast . Can not find any info on it . thanks
I use an aftermarket I found on e-bay . I love it . Yes it turns over much faster . There is a dealer in Tenn that sells them on ebay . I'll get his name for you and you can check it out . I have been running his starters for almost 2 years now.
The Dodge uses a Denso style starter, while ford runs the mitsubishi (also on alot of Cummins powered heavy equipment) 4alterstart.com I think is one place that has both styles. I found them both here in town, $268 for a reman Mitsu and $468 for the denso. CDN funds btw. Also the denso isn't so much of a pain to get into the truck because of the small size LOL.
