Bfg's in the E 285's can be had at your local Sam's club by special order. Even though you may have to get a membership, they will still have the best buy, more than enough to pay for the membership several times over.

i just checked tire-rack,they offered nuthin in e-range for 285's..i would really be interested in some all-terrains,but i cannot find them in e's at set of revo's would even be better!!!!!!
The Bridgestone Dueller A/T with Uni-T and Bridgestone Dueller "REVO" with Uni-T both come in an E load range, but only up to a 265/75X16 size according to the Bridestone website: www.bridgestone.com
Since the 285 has become such a popular tire size, perhaps Bridgestone DOES make it in the E load range, but their website has yet to be updated to reflect it? Might be worth a call or two to your local Bridgestone tire outlet so they can research current spec's.
I purchased my Load D "REVO's" from CostCo and paid $153/corner, installed. The only fubar they did was to not upgrade the valve stems to a heavy duty valve stem that can handle the tire pressure the REVO's call for. Easy fix though...
Pix of my 285 REVO's in my gallery, if you're interested.
TOYO OFFERS THE OPEN COUNTRY M/T IN A 285/75R-16 LOAD RANGE E. THE NITTO NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER IS A LOAD RANGE D.http://www.nittotire.com/tires_terragrappler.asp..SIZES AND SPECS. A LOAD RANGE D TIRE WILL HAVE A MAX INFLATION OF 65PSI, A LOAD RANGE E, 80PSI
Checkout tirerack.com. They have lots of truck tires and consumer ratings. You can also pull up a graph of the consumer ratings for a group of tires. I have stock rims on my 00 F250 Sd 4x4 and went from a 285x35x16 to a 265x75x16, which has a higher load rating than the 285x35. When I was shopping the Bridgestone Revo had very high ratings.
Try WalMart. They have a lot you can special order AND with the $9.95 install and lifetme balance package, you also get road hazard coverage. I have bought two sets from them for a 2000 F-250 I used to have and had no complaints. Unless things have changed, most dealers will not offer road hazard on a truck tire.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with any online tire dealers. Way too much hassle and their inventories are often pretty dated.
For me, it is much cheaper to buy online because I don't have to pay sales tax on $500 woth of tires. As a bonus, I have the ability to mount and balance tires myself.
not sure where your at but go to discount tire or tires.com online. nitto makes e's and bfg make's em too. if someone is cheaper including sams they'll beat it. but the one by me is the same price as sam's is. if you order from them online they have free shipping in case your not by a store.
