Artist needed
Hey yall. My unit and I are in Iraq and are in need of some help. We have concrete barriers set up for protection. It has become custom for units to paint "murals" on the barriers as sort of a way of saying "been there done that" to the next units that come in. I want to ask for help in designing ours. The guys we replaced did a good job on theirs and we need to top it. Most of us have pretty good imagination but terrible drawing skills. We have the basics of what we would like but need somebody who's good with this sort of thing to help put it all together.
If anybody is interested in helping out please send me a message or email me or something. We still have a couple months left before the new unit comes to replace us and we'd like to have it done before they get here.
We appreciate anybody who's willing to give it a shot. I'm low on the totem pole but I'll try to make it worth you while. Thanks yall.

Got any pics of the current murals to share? That might help give ideas on what would be a fitting addition. Also, did the other units use their unit insignia? or just create images of different things? Is it the inside our outside of the wall? ie, will the image be facing the populace? That could limit what type of images would be allowed.

Hey smiller, 13MWZ is just looking for an idea for his unit to put on a concrete barrier before they leave the area they are in. I put a couple of ideas in my trukcrazy toons album in my gallery for him and his unit to look at.

I have first hand access to the two best selling artists in the world right now. I need the basic idea and I am very sure that one of them will be more than happy to help.

Not allowed to paing your blast shields? That sucks. I guess I could kind of understand as some people go a little overboard or use something not 'politicaly correct'. 
I'll take some pictures of some of the existing ones to show yall. Most of them use something that has to do with their unit. For example most of the engineer units use the red castle in theirs, some units just paint their unit patch, one unit did a patriotic scene with a soldier kneeling infront of a memorial. The guys we replaced used a dragon (thier mascot) with a bunch of flames.
Ours we plan on putting on a barrier that would be seen by anybody inside our AO, but pretty much blocked from the rest of the camp.

It's not just a politically correct concern, it's straight up bureocracy. That gazebo I mentioned? We had to get a building permit for it. I had an E8 running around to nine different places on the base with his plans for the thing so we could get permission to build it.
They act like this is an active-duty post in the States, and they have all the stupid rules that go along with that. It's a joke.
