Changed all plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, intake manifold gaskets all on a 1975 f250 390H 2bbl 4x4 (automatic transmission). Do not know what degrees to put the engine in time. Can any one help? Also been having trouble the reverse lights turning on when the park and head lights are turned on. The reverse lights do not work when the truck is placed into reverse. could you also explain where the throttle springs go (have two and do not know where the second green (shorter spring) goes. Help any one....Please...
ive got my 73 set about 8 btdc rember to pull and plug the vac. advance line.
To fix the other, your probably going to have to spend some time chasing out the wiring harness ... probably bare wire somewhere in the back, where the backup bulb wires are near the parking light lines..

generally, these FEs like a little more timing. You want to have as much timing as possbile without pinging. For stock/mild 360s and 390s that seems to be around 10 BTDC. So, try 8, 10 and 12 and see how it responds.
