Does anybody know if thiers masterplug tugged in the frame for reverse, brake lights taillights and turn signals, right now when I turn on any turn signals all my turn signals come on, my taillights dont even work, and my reverse lights turn on my brake lights. Im hoping thiers a master plug thats maybe ****ed up otherwise any suggestions?
Sounds like a combined grounding & flasher unit problem.
Start with replacing the flasher unit and cleaning the grounds. The grounds located back by the tail lights- you'll be able to see them if you look underneath the rear end.
Already so on my lunch break I bought a flasher swapped it out front lights work but rears were still all messed up so I dug into the harness and discovered that for whatever reason all my grounds from my lights were hooked together but not actually grounding because someone had rewired them not into a ground..... ground lights everything works kinda wierd since they worked like that till about a week ago but at least its an simple fix not a 20 hour wire hunt through the entire truck
Maybe they were grounded, and just came loose from the ground point, which is why you were having intermittent trouble- it was breaking loose and making intermittent contact.
