Plastic piece in trans pan

I removed the trans pan today to change the fluid. I noticed there was a yellow plastic piece that has a stem about 1 inch long. It was lying in the bottom of the pan. The other end is larger in diameter with an oring on it. I don not know where this piece goes!!!

Please help.

Throw it in the trash can. It's a plug used during assembly to plug the dip stick hole.
