Help!! 4r70w

I just dropped the pan and there was a plastic piece in the pan. It looks like a hollow ball with the bottom cut out with a 1" or so pin on the top. Where does it go?

I finally found the answer on page 20 or so of my search. Factory dipstick plug that is pushed into the pan on the assembly line.
