Ok. My right interior blinker light in the dash is not working. Is it the bulb, the wires, or what? The blinkers work outside and that's the only light on the outside that isn't working.

Sorry no answers but I think I can add some relevant info.
My '79 has the same problem. A couple of years ago I tried to get into the instr. cluster to check the bulb-couldn't as the mounting bolt just turned the stud.
Later, I noticed the signal bulb did work occasionally. When I developed a short on the wiring to the blinker relay I actually replaced the entire turn signal switch mechanism thinking that was my problem. It took a autoelectric specialist (sometimes I don't allow these electrical problems to get the best of my patience) to find that is was merely shorting on the metal dash at the relay connection.
So, blinkers worked fine outside but not the interior dash blinker. Most recently both blinker lights quit working, still outside blinkers working fine. Also, I know the bulbs are good because they work with the hazard flashers.
Has someone else seen this problem? How do we fix?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-May-02 AT 09:11 PM (EST)]What year is the truck? if its your 79 you can pull your instrument panel out far enough to look at the back and there are little black tabs that hold the lights for the panel look for the one that lines up with your blinker light and twist it about a half turn and it should come out light and all replace the bulb and repeat the steps in reverse and hopefully that will solve it good luck
Now that I sit and actually honestly think about it, I don't know if it works with the hazard lights or not. That'll be the first thing I tell my dad to do when he calls. Thanx for that idea.
