blinker confusion

blinker confusion

I can't figure out why the blinkers on my side mirrors only work sometimes. Its a 07 f250. Any ideas? The lights always work just not the blinkers.

One of my blinker lights did this on my F-150 for a while. It only worked properly in the afternoons, but not in the mornings. This lasted for several months until the light stopped working completely. Replaced the bulb and all was good.

it's probably a broken filament in the bulb, when you hit a bump with the signal 'on' the filament can 'weld' itself back together for a while.

In the 'old days' when headlights had filaments in them…. you could bang on the headlight housing and get the light to work for the remainder of the ride home, after the police officer pulled you over for a broken headlight….
