OK, i got the new carb on my truck and installed the Lokar tv cable for the AOD, Lokar's directions were terrible. I had to make my own bracket to connect it to the transmission in the correct way, but its on there. And it shifts perfect and the engine runs much better after getting that factory smog carb off.
Anyway, my question. I will be rebuilding the trans in this truck soon. When the truck shifts now the rpms drop to around 1000-1300rpms. I feel this is too low. it takes a while for the motor to recover, so I was wondering if there might be anything I could do to get the transmission to shift a bit later. Any ideas besides going to an AOD-E?
