It's all back together now and I'm away on vacation riding quads down in the Oregon Dunes. There were a few disappointments with Thorley but their customer service has been good to this point. I need to re/re the l/h header when I get back home to replace with one that has the O2 sensor bung welded in the correct position. I'll reserve final praise till the install is completed.
Initial review I would say the power increase is noticeable and the pulling perfomance improvement was worth the effort. Throttle response also had a noticeable improvement. I'm happy with things to this point. What I was surprised about was the small size of the exhaust ports, they definately need some attention. I'll get into the heads over the winter.
Steaks are on the barby, gotta go.
Did adding headers increase the gas mileage under normal operations?
I have all the power I need. need to get better than 8MPG on the road at 65MPH.
Thanks,
Rick
Can't tell yet, just made the 10 hour trip to Oregon. I'll have to do some mpg testing, but theory and others from the forum do indicate a slight increase.
