Mark- What dealership did you take it to? What was your overall impression of their service? I often have to spend a lot time in HB (well, "have to" may be to strong of a phrase), and sometimes take my truck. I know of the one off of Beach, but I've never used them. It would be good to know of a place to take it to when I'm there if something goes wrong.
You don't need to wait for this truck. Demand your money back on it now. The law gives you the right to reject this vehicle. A truck with just over 2,000 miles on it in the shop for 3 weeks is an outrage. Look it up for yourself...you have every right to let them keep it, and you get full reimbursement!
I took it to the one on Beach Blvd. Not sure if I would take it back there again though after 4+ weeks to fix it. They did not have the correct tooling, tried this and tried that before finally getting it right. Another dealership is on Harbor in Costa Mesa.
dogdude..
I passed the thirty day rule and know that I can give it back. I called Ford and complained so the details are noted by the manufacturer. One moree problem and I will start invoking my rights under the Lemon law.

What about the 3 weeks without your vehicle? Are they compensating you?
I'm amazed...this is an 06'...right?
Thanks for the heads-up on the dealer. I ask about the service simply because I understand that sometimes even the best can get stumped by a problem vehicle. If they treated you well and kept you informed, that would at least be something. I had a similar problem on my '04 dually that turned-out to be a failed o-ring on an injector. It wouldn't have been a big deal had the dealership not pissed me off by mentioning that the tech believed it was customer abuse. So for me it's not that the vehicle has a problem, it's mechanical and poop happens, but how I'm treated when it does. Hopefully this will be the last major problem you have with it. These are some strange trucks. In fact it's the only vehicle I've owned where the mechanics actually recommend driving it like you stole it.
I have a 05 F350 6.0 at thirteen thousand miles it would not start. Two weeks at the dealer waiting for a o-ring. Also had a rear main seal leak! I had to call corporate to get a rental. Now I have a muffled gurgle sound when I let off the throttle. Dealer claims this is normal back pressure blowing into the air cleaner box. Anyone else experiencing this?
