Question Which one?

which programmer is the best to use on my 97 PSD auto? I've read that the bully dog power pup will destroy my computer? I've tried the superchips tuner and saw a differance but not enough to drop $300 plus. This was an older superchips unit I've heard the new ones are better. I really like what I've read about the edge evolution and the ez modual, but I dont have any experiance with these.

The newer programmer has a lot more power. Frankly though you'll never get a ton of power until you swap out the restrictive downpipe the 94.5 - 97 has. We outsell Superchips to Edge 50 to 1.

Thanks, Motorhaven Guy. I have gotten rid of the factory "flat" pipe, and have straight piped the truck.

Restrictive down pipe huh? Are your referring to the pipe from the turbo to the cat? To eliminate this flat pipe/ do I need a whole new exhaust or can i replace just that pipe. I really don't think I want to spend a thousand dollars on an exhaust. I Am planning though to get a superchips tuner plus an afe cold air intake. Are these 2 worthy investments or would you go a different route for more power and better mileage? ---96 f250 psd crew cab 355's with 265/75/16's thanks for any info.

Yes, the pipe from the turbo to the cat. I recommend changing the entire exhaust and its a lot less than $1000! It makes a huge difference on the 1994-1997 trucks. The tuner gives the power (the exhaust in intake help somewhat too) and the intake/exhaust helps keep exhaust temps safe in the higher power modes.

DP Tuner chips with out a question for the 7.3. Jody is also putting his tunes on SCT's now too. I also hear good things about TS and DI chips.

Ok well Thanks That sounds good but I have not heard of DP Tuner chips. Iwas looking at the hyperchips or the superchips. Something that i can reprogram if i need to. Any thoughts?
